Macy’s Parade Gives

After winning the 2020 Macy’s Branded Entertainment Pitch Day Competition - the idea for which centered around launching a Macy’s Parade themed Cause Marketing initiative - I became the creative and strategic lead on the “Macy’s Parade Gives” initiative, founded on a three tier strategy. First, promote our many existing give back efforts within the Cause Marketing space via an all new section of macys.com/parade. Second, forge and focus on a new partnership, in this case Meals On Wheels, with a spotlight on giving back to our community. And third, engage our passionate volunteers, many of whom weren’t able to participate in the 2020 Macy’s Parade, to volunteer in their communities too. In collaboration with the Macy’s Gives team, responsible for millions in charitable contributions annually, Macy’s Parade Gives was heralded as a win both large and small, echoing our brand values and celebrating many gracious smiles along the way.
